Killy

American Kestrel

Falco sparverius

Killy came to The RARE Group due to a defect in his wing.  He is also human-imprinted.  The people who found Killy and his brood brought them into their home with the good intention of saving them.  They were fed ground beef and allowed to be around humans at a very young age.  Due to their poor diet, Killy's brood-mates did not survive, and Killy's development was stunted leaving his right wing deformed.

Bano

Barn Owl

Tyto alba

Bano came to The RARE Group after being displaced from her nest at a very young age.  She suffered a fracture to her right wing that had already healed incorrectly by the time she reached us, leaving her flightless.

Denali

Rough-legged Hawk

Buteo lagopus

Denali is a light morph Rough-legged Hawk that  came to The RARE Group after a presumed vehicle strike.  She suffered irreparable damage to her left eye, ultimately leading to it being removed.
